Mixtion A Dorer LeFranc
The traditional, clear, natural oil based size made in france, both the 3 hour fast dry and 12 hour slowset mixtures are available in a range of sizes. The number of hours refer to the waiting time between applying the gold size to the substrate and applying the goldleaf. When the coat of gold size is almost dry to touch it is ready for the goldleaf to be applied. Oil gold size may be tinted with artist oil colours (yellow or red ochre) by doing so, one can give warm or glowing aspect to the Goldleaf.
Quick Size
A water based latex size for use on all interior gilding projects. Perfect for plaster, ceramics and wood. Reaches tackyness in 30 minutes with an open time for gilding of upto 36 hours.
