This leaf is manufactured specifically in the colors and weights that are standard in the industry. Different varieties of leaf, including thicker gold leaf for those special jobs are also available in certain karats. This leaf is produced by us using the latest technology and respected traditions of the gold beating trade.

A booklet of Transfer gold leaf also referred to as Patent gold leaf is made by placing each gold leaf between thin sheets of rouged tissue paper, as the booklet is finished a special white tissue paper is applied between each sheet of gold leaf, after which the gold leaf is subjected to varying amounts of pressure to achieve the gilders requested finish. The gilder can then remove one leaf at a time by taking hold of the end tab which extends from the booklet without disturbing the remaining leaves.

Our gold leaf is manufactured to the standard European size of 80 x 80 mm (3.15 x 3.15 inches) with a weight of 14-15 grams per 1000 leaves.

Each booklet contains 25 leaves.

When checking out, please specify how you require the transfer leaf to be pressed!

Hard pressed - Gold leaf will detach only where you have applied adhesive, the remainder will continue to stay stuck to the transfer paper for later use.

Medium pressed - Entire Gold leaf will detach easily from transfer paper when any part is applied to adhesive.

Soft pressed - Entire Gold leaf will detach very easily from transfer paper when any part is applied to adhesive.
